An Illinois-funded program created to make legal systems easier for ordinary people to understand.
Legal education without the legal maze
Just Us Bridge was created as a Professional Litigant program for Chicago residents who need practical legal education but may not have access to an attorney or traditional legal aid.
The program’s original courses combined research, procedure, examples, humor, and step-by-step instruction. The goal was not to turn participants into lawyers. It was to help them understand what is happening, prepare more carefully, ask better questions, and make more informed decisions.
